Henry was born in 1955, raised in Charleston, WV, and graduated from Mercersburg Academy, Furman University and the WVU College of Law. As a licensed practicing attorney in the Charleston area for more than 27 years, his practice has focused primarily on personal injury, medical malpractice and insurance claims, family law matters, trial court cases, estate planning, elder law, and mediation. Henry has been counsel in numerous cases, large and small, in state and federal courts throughout West Virginia, and frequently associates with large in-state and out-of-state law firms in complex cases.
Representative clients are primarily individuals with insurance or court claims, family law or related issues, or estate planning needs, but as a general practice attorney he has dealt with a wide variety of legal issues. Henry also represents small business owners, evaluating and then pursuing or defending claims. He has handled or assisted in hundreds of cases involving various legal claims, including some resulting in recoveries exceeding $1 million.
In 2003, Henry became an approved family law mediator and regularly conducts mediations. Having honed his skills in the areas of estate planning and elder law, his practice includes counseling and preparing for clients wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other related legal documents. Henry is married, the father of two adult children, and a resident of Charleston.
